面试当心公司的“圈套”
永远不要把未来可以期待当成最重要的动力。
每个人在初轮面试的时候,在新人入职的时候,甚至是在提出辞职而遇到挽留的时候,也许都会看到公司高层画出那一张张漂亮的让人血脉贲张的“大饼”。而它其实有一连串的好听而又专业的管理名词来等同之:愿景、远景、激励、规划……
所有“大饼”中,最美丽的、最诱人的,莫过于“上市”。这似乎已经成为绝大多数小公司对前来应聘的职场精英的“最致命一击”。只要在面试的时候,一说到“上市”,言者口沫横飞、手舞足蹈,俨然明天就要敲响纳斯达克的钟声,听者也两眼放光、无限憧憬,仿佛很快就可以去往马尔代夫的海滩。加上早在传媒上反复爆炒的那好几位IT上市公司的老总“奢华而又精致”的上流社会故事,直教言者和听者情绪激昂,立刻拍案签约。
其实,问问这些言者,无论人力资源总监还是你的直线经理,他们的饼也是他们的老板画出来的,有还是没有,谁知道?谁担保?只能信其有,不信其无。而一旦破灭,如同在路边摊等着属于你那份“鸡蛋卷饼”出炉,四处飘香,顿时令人口舌生津;但突然被告知全部售罄,只能将美好的期待咽下肚里,然后黯然走开。
“大饼”中也有可以把握在手、一样“秀色可餐”的,那就是“期权”。相比那些“PRE-IPO”(上市前)公司来说,可以给员工发“期权”的雇主绝对是“人中之凤”。有关“期权”标准的解释是“未来一定时期可以买卖的权力,是买方向卖方支付一定数量的金额后拥有的在未来一段时间或未来某一特定日期以事先规定好的价格向卖方购买或出售一定数量的特定标的物的权力,但不负有必须买进或卖出的义务”。这个“大饼”比起“上市”的那个要让人垂涎许多,毕竟握在手里,如同一团面粉,捧着就臆想到将会变成可口的“葱油饼”。殊不知,从面粉到饼,需要油、火、作料、葱姜等等,而从“期权”变成“现金”,也离不开外部的条件满足,尤其是公司股价不能跌,因为只要比期权上的价格低,那你手中就是一堆废纸,一场春梦。
“大饼”也并不是一无是处。如同当小孩子不肯做作业,就给糖果作为激励一样,“大饼”很多时候的确是起到了“汇聚人气、前景激励”的作用。这也是很多职场书所提倡的那样,主管要多给员工“画大饼”,如同望梅止渴,起到了不错的效果。
当面对对方端上一张张“大饼”的时候,如果觉得不相信也不期望这些未来的描绘,那就直截了当地表达给公司,只要工资,不要期权,不过,又有几个人愿意放弃这些未来可能的成功?你的“大饼”,吃到了,就是“沉没成本”,放弃了,就是“机会成本”。
在面对如今“金融海啸”“裁员大潮”之际,“谁给谁的大饼”,也可以让人明白,永远不要把未来可以期待当成最重要的动力。
